Classical Indians that is! The army is starting to take shape.

IMAG0064

The hoard!

IMAG0065

6 Battle groups of Elephants.

IMAG0066

Lots and lots of bowmen.

IMAG0067

A couple of Battle groups of cavalry.

there is still a bit to go but I'm hoping to get everything finished in the next couple of weeks and take the army out for a spin. I still haven't figured out how I'm going to base them but I'm sure ill come up with something.

hey Alphz

Thanks for the comments, sorry for the crappy photos, a few quick snaps on my phone that should have been taken more carefully. once the army is finished ill take some proper shots.

The skin is a really simple 3 stage system.

Undercoat of black.
Basecoat of Burnt umber.
highlight of German camo medium brown.
final highlight of beige brown.

I have zero idea if its even close to traditional Indian skin tone colour but i like the way it works with the other colours ive used in the overall scheme. With the army having so much skin i thought it was important that is wasn't too dark or the contrast between the skin and the white clothing would have been too large. Hopefully once they are based the colours will all come together properly.
